Hello! I am Alexis and love taking on new adventures. Although I’ve lived in Nebraska for about 20 years now, my home state Texas will always have my heart. (And my Texas drawl still comes out in a word or two, especially after making a visit back home.) When I’m not working, I can be found traveling around the country with my husband taking in the sights and beauties that nature has to offer.

I married my husband almost nine months exactly after meeting him, with our first child coming two years later. I was a boy scout and love cookies as long as they aren’t oatmeal raisins. I’m a sucker for roller coasters, but I am terrified of heights. I’m also very short and tend to bring a ladder or step stool to a session.

I started photography by joining my small high school’s yearbook staff. It was also a way to get out of some classes and attend every sporting event. I’ve worked several jobs in my lifetime including as a lifeguard, pizza gal, waitress, childcare provider, credit card retention, at an apartment complex, accountant, bank teller and more. I also continued to grow my adoration for photography to weddings, families and seniors.

However, through all these job opportunities, my favorite one has been as a stay-at-home, minivan-driving, soccer-going, school-sponsoring mom. As the years go by and I become an empty-nester, I’ve decided to dedicate my time elsewhere to allow myself to travel and visit extended family members. While I still photograph a few weddings for Complete Wedding + Events, I have shifted my focus for photography to predominantly seniors.
